Erik Bishop

Artistic Director

Erik Bishop started his life in the Theatre Arts over 30 years ago in Los Angeles, CA.  He attended The University of the Arts in Philadelphia and the Pacific Conservatory for the Performing Arts. After spending 8 years in New York City pursuing his career as an actor as well as multiple aspects of design and the technical Theatre Arts; he then moved to Savannah, Georgia helping to found the Savannah Repertory Theatre, eastern Georgia’s only Actors Equity affiliated Theatre Company.  He was the theatre companies Technical Director for six years before moving to Highlands to become Technical Director and Facility Manager of the new Highlands PAC.

Lee Trevathan

Lee Trevathan is a classically trained actor with nearly 20 years professional experience as an actor and teacher in London, New York, Chicago and Houston. She received her B.F.A. (Hons) in Acting from London’s International Drama School, Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance.  Along with acting, Lee found great joy being a Teaching Artist for the Alley Theatre in Houston, TX. She taught Voice and Movement technique in their Conservatory program and worked with foreign doctors in the Houston Medical Center with Alley Articulated. Lee is very happy with her move to the beautiful town of Highlands and looks forward to the exciting and creative opportunities it will bring through work with the PAC.

Tanya Bishop

Managing Producer

Tanya Bishop was the Associate Producer for the one the largest Educational Theaters in the country in California, Metropolitan Educational Theatre Network.  She helped to manage the program working with casts totaling 150-300.  She managed all the details from registrations to the weekly rehearsals, costumes, ticket sales and working with the many volunteers needed to produce a broadway style production.  Tanya has also been designing and sewing costumes for the past 30 years from Los Angeles to San Diego to Savannah, GA.  She has worked with numerous theatre companies in many cases providing costumes for over 150 cast members.  Some of the productions she has designed costumes for are:  Fiddler on the roof, King and I, Oliver, Peter Pan, Ragtime, Dreamgirls, Pajama Game, Evita, Music Man, Annie, and Nine - The Musical, to name just a few. Tanya owns her own custom sewing and costume business “Create with Fabric” where she has a sewing studio in her home. 

Joi Chapman

Musical Director

Joi holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Bowling Green State University and has taught elementary, middle, and high school music at different times in her teaching career in Florida and Ohio. She is currently the music teacher at Highlands School.
Along with being a performer herself, she has music-directed many musical theatre productions for elementary schools and middle schools in Sarasota, Florida, as well as for a dance studio’s musical theatre encore program. She also co-founded Rise Above Performing Arts in Sarasota, where she returns once a year to continue to music direct.

 

Joi has also directed multiple award-winning Choir and Show Choirs.
